Pembroke, Massachusetts is a town situated in Plymouth County. According to the United States Census Bureau, there were about 18,000 individuals living in Pembroke in 2010. The town is conveniently located west of Highway 3 which provides Pembroke with easy access to Boston, Massachusetts.
Native American Indians occupied the area of Pembroke before European settlers arrived in the 1600s. Eventually, English investors purchased the territory Pembroke is situated in. What is known today as Pembroke was originally part of Duxbury, Massachusetts until 1712 when part of the town broke away to be incorporated as a separate town.
